We believe that a bottle of wine is more than just a bottle of wine. It’s a companion. At the core of companionship is a dedication to keeping things honest and simple. Dove Hunt Dog, more than anything, is a celebration of what makes life complete: the people we love most, the dogs by our side and naturally Clean-Crafted Wine in our glasses.
The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon come from a vineyard located in the Arrowhead Mountain region, where the land has been used over time as a sheep and cattle ranch. It currently is home to 60 acres of biodynamic vineyard, owned and managed by the Golden family. The family also raises cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens and farms olives and other vegetables on the property.
The grapes for this wine were hand-picked from 19-year-old vines grown on Redvine Soil, which is alluvial, mineral-rich and well-draining. These properties aid the growth and health of the grapes, which leads to delicious wine! The juice aged for two weeks in stainless steel, then the wine aged in stainless steel, Redwood, and neutral French Oak vessels before bottling, unfined and unfiltered.
Did You Know? A cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon is the most planted grape in the world!
