We never met a dog we didn’t love. With their wet kisses, wagging tails and the unconditional way they welcome you with excitement, a dog always knows how to make everyone feel like family. You’ll likely find one of these gregarious greeters in the vineyard, delighting workers and visitors alike. This wine is dedicated to our own beloved winery dog, Pip, and we hope it brings you as much joy as she brings to our family.

For this single-vineyard Chardonnay, grapes were picked at night from vines planted 25 years ago in Paso Robles. The grapes were then pressed and the juice fermented in stainless steel for 22 days. The wine then aged in stainless steel for 5 months until bottling, unfined and lightly filtered.

  • the journey

Cool climate Potter Valley AVA in Mendocino County is an ideal location to grow and produce a fresh, precise, acid-driven Chardonnay. Potter Valley, which borders the Mendocino National Forest, is just over 100 miles north of both the towns of Sonoma and Napa. Here, Chardonnay grapes ripen while retaining their natural acidity, resulting in a wine that is layered with fruit and mineral notes.

This single-vineyard Chardonnay has been farmed organically for 48 years by the same family on a farm that they call home. And this family is committed to leaving the ground better than they found it. They also grow and sell to prominent retailers organic herbs and organic grass-fed beef.

The Chardonnay for this vintage was handpicked, pressed, fermented and spent 6 months in stainless steel tank before a light filtration at bottling. Did You Know? The organic vineyard is on a self-sustaining estate that generates all of its own power through renewable energy sources like a hydroelectric power plant on a dam in the Russian River and solar panels.
