This Red Wine was made from grapes handpicked from vineyards planted 25-45 years ago in the Languedoc region of France. After harvest, the grapes were sorted, destemmed, then crushed and placed in a combination of stainless steel, concrete, and wood vessels to ferment on native yeasts for 2 weeks. The wine then aged in a combination of neutral French Oak barrels and foudres until bottling, unfined and unfiltered.

This wine was partially aged in neutral French Oak foudres! Foudres are pretty amazing wooden vessels, much larger than the typical wine barrel—some of them hold more than 1,000 liters of wine. Some are still used today that are over 100 years old!

Made in collaboration with our friends at Domaine Frédéric Brouca, this Red Wine hails from one of the world’s most under-appreciated wine regions: the Languedoc. It’s earthy and concentrated with notes of mixed berries and fresh herbs with a bright finish that lingers.
