Grapes sourced from two vineyards meeting the Clean-Crafted Commitment®. Planted from 1993-2016. 

Each vineyard was picked and processed in accordance with our standards, fermented in stainless steel and aged in stainless steel vats until it was blended and ready for the dealcoholizing process. 

We partnered with THE industry-leader in dealcoholization – who also happens to be just a few miles away from our winery in Sonoma.  They put our premium red blend through their proprietary process and the result was a flavorful red wine with the alcohol removed. 

Our winemaker, John Harley, then put the wine on oak for 90 days (about 3 months), added natural acacia for texture and body and added a minimal amount of carbon dioxide to give the wine a mid-palate. 

Bottled with lighter weight glass for lower carbon footprint. Recycled, sustainable cork.

The first alcohol-removed wine was created in Germany back in 1908. Since then, the category has been dominated by wines that use lots of sugar and artificial flavors instead of good quality wine. That changes with the entrance of Epic Pursuit!

You may be curious about the “Lightly Fizzy”. Typically, in a wine there are three parts.  The fruit up front, the texture in the back and the mid-palate. We tasted over 40 alcohol-removed wines and found none had the mid-palate, the body of a real wine.  So, our winemaker added a little CO2 to give it some texture, some weight, which we feel gives it that roundness that makes it an even better wine!  It’s not sparkling – it's just a little tingly! 

Pairs well with any occasion that calls for a glass of wine!
